This is a Good Sam rate for a water/electric site. Our site is a grassy pull-through, just what we needed for a quick overnight stay, but very unlevel. Owners quite friendly. We did not use any of the facilities, but everything looks clean and neat. The park advertises Wi-Fi, but it wasn't available at our site, even though we're very near the office. However, our Verizon broadband and DirecTV dish worked fine. The location just off I-80 is very convenient, and it's far enough off to be quiet. We would stay here again.

Very friendly management! Quiet older campground, gravel roads and sites, convenient for visiting Mammoth Cave. Rate reflects Escapees discount. We planned to stay only one night, but the place was so peaceful and pleasant that we extended another night. Owner obviously cares about campers and is working to upgrade. Restrooms are older but clean and serviceable. There is a small catch and release pond. We would definitely camp here again.

Quiet campground, very convenient to visit Newport, but in a quiet rural setting. Rate is for water/electric site. Friendly staff. We would stay here again.

Very nice owner. We called in advance and were assigned a site. Since we were arriving late for an overnight stay, he asked us to leave the payment in a drop box near the entrance on our way out. While not a destination park, this is a fine place to overnight: quiet and convenient to I-40 (only about 4 miles off the highway). Our only complaint is that the sites are set up for mobile homes, so the electric and water were on our curbside, and the sewer outlet was under the rig. Also, it has been raining, and the patio is on the wrong side for us also.

Sites are large and wooded. Gray Line Tours runs a shuttle to the campground. Nearby bike trail leads to Ottawa River Trail. It's about 14 miles to Parliament Hill--a nice ride. Laundry has new front loaders. Wi-fi is available only near office (laundry, office, parking lot).

Most sites are shady, with trees between sites providing privacy. Many sites are small, basically tent sites, but a few would accommodate a big rig (one 40 foot motorhome in the park now). Staff very friendly. Convenient to Hwy 75 and Mackinac Island. Nice views of Lake Huron.

WE DID NOT STAY HERE. The roads approaching the campground are unpaved, narrow, have large holes, and have significant overhead branches low enough to damage big rigs (including ours). Once you start down the road, there is no place to turn around. When it rains it is very muddy. This campground is suitable only for very small rigs and tents. The main reason to come here would be to rent canoes.

This is a lovely park with nice trees, a small lake, and large, well spaced sites. However, each camping loop is one way, so half the pull-thrus will end up with your door facing the street instead of your patio. Also, nearly half the sites have the utilities on the patio side. If you look closely at the site photos on the website, you can see the layout for a site you are considering. Only sites 51 and higher have paved patios. We camped in site 56, which is lovely. There are some flies this time of year, but the cows appear to be gone from the neighboring dairy farm, so that situation may be getting better.

Large park in an urban area. Wide roads, easy to access sites, but some around the edges have no patios or picnic tables (they are just parking lot style spaces). The laundry room was small but clean and nice. Rate reflects AARP discount.

Mostly long term residents, right next to mpodu freeway. Basically a gravel parking lot with adjacent RV repair shop. We had reservations, but when we arrived we were offered one of two "new" sites (translation: they had put in a utility pole, but no driveway, table, etc.). Run-down looking.
